Schools organises inter-school GK competitions that test the sharpest of minds among students and encourages them to be aware of what’s happening in the world over. The HiQ is more than just ‘general’ knowledge, it involves Mathematics quiz, Science contests, etc. With competitive competitions like this one, Global Schools aspires to identify and nurture the next Einstein or Aryabhata! 

GIIS HiQ Quiz is aninter-school quiz competition testing the general knowledge of children in different categories. It gives the students an opportunity to test their knowledge in a variety of subjects at a competitive level. The competition tests their skills in an arena which is consistent with not just their academic subjects but also with the projects and activities which they experience and undertake at school year round. They also get to meet their peers from sister GIIS campuses and learn to compete at an inter-school level.

For Classes 1-5 the different rounds in the quiz cover the entertainment world, Singapore, famous monuments and personalities, flora and fauna, current affairs, audio-visual and rapid fire. Each round is truly innovative and challenging. The participating teams get support and encouragement from GIIS teachers and parents to prepare for the quiz.

For the Global Montessori Plus children the competition questions are based on mazes, puzzles, rhymes, visual rounds, mathematical questions, GK questions and several topics covered in the curriculum.
